Novamente Helene Wecker traz suas belíssimas personagens baseadas nas culturas árabe e judaica, com o enredo se passando nas comunidades imigrantes de Nova Iorque do pré-guerra no início do século XX. Por conta do tempo entre a leitura entre um livro e outro, confesso que recorri à internet para encontrar um resumo de O Golem e o Gênio, o que me deixou mais confortável, apesar de depois de ter lido Hidden Palace eu poder afirmar que não teria sido necessário.

Infelizmente The Hidden Palace, lançado no ano passado, ainda não foi traduzido para o português, mas O Golem e o Gênio está disponível numa linda edição da Darkside.ĭepois de rasgar seda até não poder mais para esse primeiro volume, peguei o segundo com muito gosto.
